Each stroke while carving this print took me back to the forests of Southeast Alaska/ the ancestral lands of the Tlingit and Haida—the juiciest and most lush forests I’ve ever been in, where the waters flow wildly and crystal-clear, naturally filtered spring water comes out the mountains. I was exploring, singing, and reading Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake out loud to the stream and vast, brilliant ecosystem. The deep, deep intelligence of the soil, mycelium, rythms, and breath were palpable in those forests. Sending love and gratitude to all those beings!
